Abstract Submission Guidelines

• Abstracts will only be accepted through the online abstract submission system available on the congress website.

• Abstracts submitted via e-mail or fax will not be considered.

• Abstracts may be presented in either Turkish or English, according to the authors’ preference. Therefore, abstracts must be uploaded to the system in both Turkish and English.

• Abstracts may be submitted by any of the authors; however, the presenting author must be specified during submission.

• Upon submission, authors will receive an electronic confirmation via e-mail acknowledging receipt of their abstract.

• Each participant may present a maximum of two abstracts.

• In order for an abstract to be included in the congress proceedings book, the presenting author must be registered for the congress.

Abstract Review Process

• All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee.

• Abstracts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.

• Following the review process, authors will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of their abstracts. Revisions may be requested when necessary. Accepted abstracts will be presented at the congress.

• During submission, authors may indicate their preferred presentation format (oral or poster presentation). However, the final decision regarding the presentation format will be made by the Scientific Committee based on the review outcome.

• All correspondence regarding submitted abstracts will be conducted with the author who uploaded the abstract to the system.

• Registration fees of participants whose abstracts are not accepted will be refunded in full.

• If an accepted abstract is not presented at the congress or is withdrawn after acceptance, registration fees will not be refunded. The Organizing Committee will determine whether the abstract will remain in the congress proceedings book.

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

• The font style used in abstract submissions is standardized automatically by the submission system. Therefore, alternative font styles cannot be used.

• Tables, figures, photographs, or other visual materials should not be included in the abstract.

• The title should clearly reflect the purpose and content of the study. The first letter of each major word in the title should be capitalized.

• Abstracts must be written in both Turkish and English and should not exceed 350 words.

• Turkish keywords should comply with the Turkey Science Terms (Türkiye Bilim Terimleri) database, while English keywords should conform to the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) standards. Authors should provide 3–5 keywords.

• Abstracts reporting original research should be structured under the following headings:

• Aim

• Methods

• Results

• Conclusions and Recommendations

• Review abstracts do not need to follow the structured format required for research abstracts.

• The authors are solely responsible for the scientific and legal content of the paper.

 

Presentation Guidelines

• The presentation time and date for oral presentations will be announced after the papers have been accepted.

• Papers may be presented as oral or poster presentations.

• Papers may be presented in Turkish or English.

• Oral presentations will be delivered using software such as PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi, etc.

• Presentation and publication guidelines for accepted papers will be sent to the presenting author along with the acceptance email.
